Why did you set the book in London? London is bursting with centuries of stories, myths and lore that are just ripe for an eager author to pick. Favourite mythical creature in the book? The tithe-master – he lurks in a tunnel, takes a tenth of what passes through (including memories) and wears a coat of live swans. How do you like to write? I switch between paper and laptop. I wrote my first books when I was working full-time, so I wrote in notepads on the bus to the office. I like orangeflavour Club biscuits and Ginger Nuts. I usually have the radio on in the background. Do you have any hobbies? I love live music gigs – be it classical, pop or indie.…
