Ukrainian aces A-levels

Astudent from Ukraine has passed his A-level exams in the UK with four A grades and earned a place at Durham University. Zorian Tytych arrived in the UK from Ukraine in February, just before the Russian invasion. He achieved top grades in maths, physics, chemistry and biology. As well as studying, Tytych has spent the last six months helping and translating for Ukrainian refugees who have fled to the UK. His own family are still in Ukraine, where his dad joined the army the day after the war started. “He wanted to protect his home and support his country,” Tytych explained. “I am very proud of him.” THEY SAID IT! “I was taught from a very early age that you don’t give in and you don’t give up.” Philippa Langley…
