Indian star sets new goal

Football player Manisha Kalyan became the first Indian player to take part in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, the tournament for Europe’s top football teams. The 20-year-old starred for Apollon Ladies FC, who are based in Cyprus. They beat SFK Riga, from Latvia, 3-0. Kalyan grew up in a small village in Punjab, India, where she was the only girl playing football in her local team. Now she is a forward for India’s national team and already has her sights set even higher. ”One day I want to play for the biggest club in the world,” she says. “I also want to see my national team playing in the World Cup.”…
