Young artist helps Ukraine

Makenzy Beard, a 15-year-old artist from Swansea, Wales, has raised £7,500 for people in Ukraine by selling her paintings. Her art has been getting more and more popular since she started painting in 2020 and is now on display at a gallery in Cardiff. They sell for up to £23,000 each. She told the BBC, “If I’ve been given the ability to make money that I don’t necessarily need, if I can put that somewhere good, that is something I really want to do.”…
