The world’s largest wind farm powers up

Electricity from Hornsea 2 powers more than one million homes.

Earlier this year, the world’s largest wind farm became fully operational. Called Hornsea 2, the wind farm is in the North Sea, around 55 miles off the east coast of England. It can provide power for more than 1.4 million homes. Wind power causes less pollution than some other forms of energy, such as burning fossil fuels (coal, gas and oil) and is cheaper to produce.
