Seaweed lowers carbon

A company in North Yorkshire, England, is using seaweed to fight climate change. SeaGrown manages the UK’s largest offshore seaweed farm. Seaweed is 20 times better than land plants at capturing and storing carbon dioxide (CO2), a gas that causes climate change. SeaGrown is also using seaweed to make environmentally friendly versions of plastic, soap and food for humans and cows.
