Agroup of ancient bronze statues from Roman times have been discovered in Italy, perfectly preserved (in their original state) after being buried in hot mud for centuries. The 24 statues were found in the town of San Casciano dei Bagni, in the region of Tuscany, where archaeologists have been uncovering the remains of a Roman bath house. Archaeologists are experts who study ancient man-made objects to help us understand history. The statues are up to 2,200 years old, and some of them are of ancient gods such as Apollo, the god of the Sun, and Hygieia, goddess of health.
