Introducing the UK’s Junior Eurovision singer

When she was five years old, Freya Skye was given a present: a karaoke machine. It would spark a passion for singing. Eight years on, Freya is representing the UK at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Eurovision is an annual international singing competition in which contestants represent countries from all over Europe. Junior Eurovision is for children aged nine to 14, and there will be 16 singers in this year’s event. Freya’s musical career took off during the UK’s Covid-19 lockdowns. Staying at home gave the 13-year-old the chance to write, record and release some songs.
