Big Ben rings out again

London’s most famous clock has officially come back into service. Big Ben rang to mark the start of a two-minute silence on Remembrance Sunday (a day to remember those who lost their lives in the two world wars and other conflicts). Big Ben is actually the name of the biggest bell in the clock tower, but most people use the name to refer to the tower itself. Its bells usually chime every 15 minutes but the clock stopped ringing in 2017 because it needed repairs.…
