There is a magical lake high up in the mountains of mid Wales. In the middle of the lake, according to legend, is an invisible enchanted island. One day a year, a door is said to appear in a rock on the lakeside. For those who find it, the doorway leads to a wonderful garden on the invisible island. Here fairies play delightful music, tell spellbinding stories and offer visitors beautiful flowers and delicious fruit. I’ve been to the lake many times, and walked around it looking for a rock that might contain a door. I haven’t discovered it yet. Instead, I often find a few plastic water bottles, chocolate bar wrappers and, recently, face masks. Other than being bad for the environment and animals, litter spoils the beauty of…
