Safe landing for SpaceX

Aerospace company SpaceX has launched and safely landed its new rocket, called Starship, for the first time. SpaceX was founded by billionaire businessman Elon Musk in 2002 and has pioneered the idea of reusable rockets that make reaching space less wasteful and expensive. On 5 May, the latest Starship, known as SN15, took off from a launch pad in the US state of Texas and climbed six miles over the Gulf of Mexico. Each of the three engines was then deliberately shut down in sequence, allowing SN15 to turn in midair and descend horizontally before reigniting and tilting the ship back into a vertical position for a smooth touchdown.
