Dame Mary funds students

Dame Mary Beard, a professor at Cambridge University in England, will give £80,000 to fund two students who want to study classics at the university. Classics is the study of the Latin and Greek languages, and ancient culture, history and literature. The scholarships aim to attract students from more diverse backgrounds.
