Secrets of crow success

Crows and ravens are among the most successful birds on the planet, and they are found all over the world. A new study by US scientists puts this success down to a perfect mix of brains and brawn (strength). All corvids (members of the crow family, including jays and magpies) are known for their intelligence, but the researchers say the sheer size of crows and ravens helped them to fly greater distances and survive for longer after landing in new habitats.
