Jonathan Emmett and Dr Adam S. Smith are the authors of The Tyrannosaur’s Feathers, which won the Animals and Nature prize at The Week Junior Book Awards in 2024. Emmett is a children’s author and Smith is a palaeontologist (a scientist who studies fossils). They worked together to write the book, which explains how new discoveries have transformed our understanding of how a T. rex looked – from the way it stood, to its body parts and its coat of fluffy feathers.
