15 March 2019 Students protest against climate change Six years ago, about 1.5 million students from all over the world went on strike (refused to go to school) to protest against climate change. The global protest was organised by the Fridays for Future movement, which Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg started in 2018. There were over 2,000 events in more than 120 countries. The UK Youth Climate Coalition estimated that about 50,000 UK students went on strike.…
