Who is your favourite fictional detective? I love Miss Marple because nobody expects her to be as brilliant as she is. But Velma from Scooby-Doo was my first detective hero. I still dress up as her every Halloween. Do you have anything in common with Mizzy? We both sense stuff about other people but don’t always understand exactly what we’re picking up on. We both feel like we don’t fit in – and we both make a lot of mistakes. What was the best bit about writing this book? It was SO much fun coming up with as many twisty clues and red herrings as possible, then finding places to hide them in the plot. Tell us your favourite writing spot and snack.
