Greenland Election result announced On 11 March, the Democrat party won the most seats in elections for Greenland’s parliament. The party, led by Jens Frederik Nielsen, wants independence from Denmark. Greenland is part of Denmark but has its own government. The Democrat party will now talk to other parties to form a coalition government (when parties work together). Trinidad and Tobago Helping carnival become sustainable An organisation called Carnicycle has been working to make the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival more environmentally friendly. The carnival takes place in the country’s capital, Port of Spain. It results in several tonnes of waste each year, and Carnicycle wants to change that.
