Best cities for trees named

Across the UK, 27 Tree Cities have been named as part of the Tree Cities of the World programme. To take part, cities must keep a record of their trees, set rules for looking after trees and hold community events. Some cities have made extra pledges. For example, Doncaster, in England, plans to plant one million trees by 2031, and in Ipswich, also in England, a woodland is being built in a stag beetle-shape to celebrate the woodland’s stag beetle-friendly habitat.…
