Ramadan in Gaza

For the second year in a row, people living in Gaza marked Ramadan in a war zone. Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar and is a holy time for Muslims. Many Muslims mark it by fasting – which means they do not eat or drink between sunrise and sunset. In Rafah, a city in Gaza, Muslims gathered among the rubble for iftar (the evening meal that Muslims eat to break their fast each day).
