ENTERTAINMENT NEWS Big names perform at Radio 1’s Big Weekend Around 50,000 people spent last weekend dancing and singing away to their favourite artists at Hull’s biggest festival of the year – Radio 1’s Big Weekend. On 27 and 28 May, some of the world’s greatest pop stars took to the stage, including Katy Perry, Shawn Mendes and Little Mix. The girl group have since found themselves in a little hot water. The live stream of their performance was stopped after Perrie Edwards used bad language. Radio 1 DJ, Matt Edwards, apologised to listeners and viewers, saying ,“That was not intended to go out on the radio.” He then played Sorry,by Justin Bieber.
