Young people want to help others

Asurvey carried out by Save the Children has found that 79% of seven to 14-year-olds wish that they could do more to help people affected by issues such as hunger, climate change, conflict and the pandemic. Save the Children is an organisation that helps children around the world. Young people’s desire to help others has been called a “cool to be kind attitude” and some people have described them as “generation generosity”. A total of 5,171 people aged seven to 14 in the UK were included in the survey. It revealed that 68% want to raise money to ensure that children in the UK and around the world have enough to eat.
