Manchester prepares to party

Since it was established in 2010, Manchester Day has brought together local artists, communities and businesses for a spectacular display of pride in their city. That was all cut short by the Covid pandemic, but now the event is back – and it promises to be better than ever. On 19 June, the famous Manchester Day Parade will weave for about a mile through Manchester’s streets. The day will be dedicated to the city’s young people as part of the 2022 Our Year campaign, a programme launched to help make up for all the opportunities lost by children during the pandemic.
