British people are famous for being animal lovers but during the last year, 3.4 million people in the UK sadly had to give up a pet, according to one recent study of animal ownership. For some of those people it was because they moved house or changed their work and didn’t think they would be able to look after their pet well enough. Others had worries about money or were struggling to deal with their pet’s behaviour. When pets are given up they are often sent to animal shelters, which look after them and try to find them new homes. A new mobile game called Animal Shelter Simulator gives you the chance to run your own rescue centre. The game teaches you what animals need when they’re in a shelter.…
