PM pledges Ukraine support

On 16 January, Keir Starmer visited Ukraine for the first time as UK Prime Minister. He met Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky and signed a 100-year agreement offering support for the country. Since Russia launched a full invasion of Ukraine nearly three years ago, around one million people have been killed or wounded in the war. The agreement means the UK will send £3 billion to Ukraine every year in military aid for “as long as it takes”, said Starmer.…
