Government to boost AI

On 13 January, the UK Government announced its AI Opportunities Action Plan to boost the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the country over the next decade. AI is a computer system that can learn from experience and perform tasks that usually require human intelligence. Why has it been announced? The use of AI is increasing across the world and the Government wants to make the UK a global leader in the technology. AI already plays an important role in the UK. For example, it’s used in hospitals to spot some cancers earlier. Cancer is a disease caused by oddly behaving cells. What’s in the plan?
