Ashes action heats up

On 11 January, the 2025 women’s Ashes cricket competition started in Australia. It is a famous cricket series played between England and Australia over several weeks and is held around every two years. The first match was won by Australia as they beat their opponents by four wickets. In the second Ashes match on 13 January, Australia beat England again, this time by 21 runs. A third match was due to take place on 16 January, after The Week Junior went to press. The competition is made up of seven events.
