Dinosaur footprints discovered

Around 200 dinosaur footprints have been discovered in Oxfordshire, England, at what is thought to be the UK’s largest known dinosaur footprint site. The footprints date back around 166 million years and were created during a time known as the Middle Jurassic period. They are thought to be the footprints of two types of dinosaurs: a meat-eating Megalosaurus, which was between six and nine metres long, and a type of long-necked, plant-eating dinosaur known as a sauropod. The team says the sauropod was most likely a Cetiosaurus, which was up to twice the size of a Megalosaurus.
