Jennifer Bell used to work as a children’s bookseller and helped youngsters of all ages find their perfect book. She then became a children’s author herself. In Bell’s Magicalia series we meet best friends Bitsy and Kosh who are swept into a secret world filled with magical creatures, ancient meteorites (space rocks that have landed on Earth) and sinister villains. They soon discover their ability to summon strange beasts called “magicores”, which are conjured from different emotions. The inspiration behind the series came from the author’s fascination with the mysteries of science.
