Concern over DeepSeek security

US officials are currently investigating if there are any security or privacy issues around DeepSeek. There have been concerns in the past about Chinese-owned companies, such as TikTok and Huawei, collecting people’s information. DeepSeek’s privacy policy (a document that says how a company collects and stores data) suggests that it could gather information from its users. The policy says it will collect mostly the same data as other companies but people are worried because the data is stored in China.
