Earthshot winners named

On 7 February, the winners of the Blue Peter Earthshot competition were announced and honoured at an event at Windsor Castle, England. The competition, launched by the BBC children’s TV show Blue Peter last September, invited young environmentalists aged from five to 15 to think of an idea to help the planet. Each idea had to be linked to one of five Earthshot themes, a set of goals to help heal the planet. The themes are: fix our climate, protect and restore nature, clean our air, revive our oceans and build a waste-free world. The competition was supported by the Earthshot Prize, a prize founded by Prince William in 2020 to support and fund ideas for repairing planet Earth.
