Birds kept in to avoid flu

The Government has told farmers and pet owners to keep their birds inside, away from wild birds, in order to stop the spread of bird flu. The deadly disease has existed for 100 years but now an infectious new version has caused the world’s worst outbreak. Shops are running out of eggs and might even run short of turkeys this Christmas. Some public parks are asking people not to feed birds because it makes them flock together and can spread bird flu.…
