Heart hero honoured

Since 2019, 11-year-old Connor Beck, from Renfrew in Scotland, has raised nearly £10,000 for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) charity. He decided to start fundraising after his uncle John died as a result of a heart condition and Connor wanted to help his family through this difficult time. He completed a 22-mile bike ride and raised £3,000 as a tribute to his uncle – and is still raising money. In 2021, he completed Scotland’s West Highland Way walk, which is 96 miles long. Connor’s fundraising achievements have earned him a nomination for the Young Heart Hero award from the BHF.
