Children’s TV, film and games celebrated

On 27 November, the winners were announced for this year’s BAFTA Children & Young People Awards, which celebrate the best films, television and video games aimed at a young audience. The award ceremony took place in London and was hosted by lots of famous faces, including former Tracy Beaker star Dani Harmer and CBBC’s Alishea Campbell-Drummond. BAFTA stands for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. It is a charity that supports the film, TV and video game industries and those working, or wanting to work, in them. One of the biggest winners was The Snail and the Whale, an animated adventure based on the picture book by Julia Donaldson.
