Sometimes adults worry that screen time – whether on TVs, consoles, phones or tablets – is getting in the way of reading time. However, there are plenty of ways for the two to work together, including using websites and apps for reading or to get book recommendations. BookTrust is an organisation that aims to help young people to enjoy reading and its Bookfinder feature (tinyurl.com/ TWJbookfinder) is excellent. Tell it your age and the kind of books you like and it will give you suggestions for your next reads. LoveReading4Kids (lovereading4kids.co.uk) and Toppsta (toppsta. com) are other websites that collect reviews of books and let you browse them, including recommendations based on your age.
