From teacher to author

Back in the 1970s, Keith Godwin, from Cwmcarn Primary School in Caerphilly, Wales, would make up stories for his class if they had been well behaved. “I enjoyed reading them as much as they enjoyed hearing them,” Godwin told the BBC. Now, almost 50 years later, these stories have finally been published. It was a former pupil of Godwin’s who got in touch with him on Facebook and convinced him to turn the stories into an actual book. Godwin said it was only now that he’d realised what an impression he’d made on his students. Another of his former students said the stories were “the highlight of the school day”.…
