An amazing feat for sea life

James Armour, aged 25, has become the first person to run, swim and cycle the length of the Outer Hebrides. The Outer Hebrides are a chain of remote islands on the north-west coast of Scotland. Armour swam 20 miles, ran 52 miles and cycled 112 miles. It took him 52 hours and 52 minutes to complete the challenge. He named the route “the Selkie”, referring to mythological seals that are said to shed their skin and turn into humans when they reach land. The Selkie started at the Barra Head lighthouse on the Island of Barra, the most southerly point on the route.
