Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker Nintendo Switch (£34.99) Mario’s mushroom-headed Toad has played a role in lots of Nintendo games, but he’s the star of this one, which originally came out on the Wii U console in 2015, but has now been re-released for the Switch. The game is as much about thinking as running and jumping. You have to guide Toad through a series of puzzle-packed levels, collecting coins and stunning enemies with turnips. It’s good fun, and better if you split the Switch’s Joy-Con controllers to play with a friend: one to control Toad, the other to fire turnips.
