Sense and Sensibility (1995) DVD, Blu-ray, iTunes, Amazon A really brilliant adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel of the same name, the 1995 film of Sense and Sensibility boasts a wonderful musical score and a terrific cast. Emma Thompson, who had previously won awards for her acting, starred in the film. She also wrote the script, as she would for the two Nanny McPhee films. She won an Oscar for writing the screenplay for this one – although her computer nearly lost the file. A friend of hers, actor Stephen Fry, spent a day retrieving it. DID YOU KNOW?
