In a sentence, how would you describe the book? Curses, camels, a dangerous journey to put right past mistakes, and lots of secrets. Do you believe in curses? I love the eeriness of curse stories, but do I actually believe them? I can be superstitious, yes, and do think that certain places and objects carry bad luck. I also have a very overactive imagination... What inspired you to write a book about a pharaoh’s curse? Before writing the book, I didn’t know much about Tutankhamun, though was aware of how fascinated people were by him back in 1922, and still are today. There’s so much about him that remains a mystery. It’s perfect story-writing material. What are the funniest things your dogs, Bert and Olive, have done? They’re always doing…
