A homeware shop in Hastings that is as interesting as the things it sells

Housed in a restored Edwardian building in Hastings Old Town, A G Hendy & Co Home Store sells new and vintage equipment for the kitchen, scullery, pantry and broom cupboard. Proprietor Alastair Hendy, also a food stylist, writer, photographer and chef, spent three years restoring the building. A warren of rooms displays items such as enamelware, aluminium pans, Duralex glasses and an extensive range of brushes and scissors. There are also vintage oddities such as Victorian glass domes, science lab wall charts, crystal decanters and butterfly cases.
