NOT LONG AGO, IT was easy to come up with a cover model when we needed a goalie for this annual crease-focused issue: Carey Price. Sure, he had the added bonus of playing for one of the most popular teams – the Montreal Canadiens – but he was also an elite netminder, the guy you didn’t have to worry about as long as he was healthy. But that, unfortunately, is the rub and where we find ourselves now. Price acknowledged in the summer his knee is in no shape to allow him back on NHL ice.
