The Hockey News’ owner and publisher talked with Gord Miller about the TSN commentator’s role in organizing the Ukraine U-25 Hockey Can’t Stop Tour

W. GRAEME ROUSTAN: I’d like to talk about the Ukraine U-25 Hockey Can’t Stop Tour that took place this year. How did it all come about? GORD MILLER: (laughs) By accident. The World Junior Championship was postponed to August of 2022. And while I was there, I met with some members of the Ukrainian Ice Hockey Federation, who would come for meetings. They had mentioned that their under-25 team had been invited to play in the World University Winter Games in Lake Placid the next January, but they didn’t think they could go. They couldn’t get a team together, and a lot of the players were in the military, and they didn’t have the funds to get them over. And so, I actually ended up talking to Jay Woodcroft, the coach…
