A group of scouts in Western Canada are working to ensure members of their community aren’t forgotten – especially those they’ve already lost

RADIO HOST AND AUTHOR Shane Malloy has carved out a career talking about hockey prospects, so when a group of NHL scouts formed a new foundation to support their own, he knew he had to help. “They embraced me into their group, and they didn’t have to do that,” Malloy said. “It’s impossible to scout without help. There’s no school, no manual, and if you don’t have help, you’re lost.
