> NO PROSPECT IN the San Jose system did more to raise his stock at the World Junior Summer Showcase than center Brandon Svoboda. The Sharks’ third-round pick in 2023 scored two goals and had six points in five games with Team USA, increasing his chances of a bottom-six berth for the American squad at the World Junior Championship in Ottawa this December. “Any time you get to put a Team USA jersey on, it’s pretty special,” Svoboda said. “And just to take advantage of that in the summer was awesome.
