But Dallas left the decision to head to the OHL up to Hemming, who joined the Barrie Colts this season after going 29th overall to the Stars at the 2024 NHL draft in June. Hemming could indeed have stayed with TPS Turku, where the right winger played 40 games and had 11 points in Liiga action last season. But he wanted to challenge himself against players in his peer group and play meaningful minutes in all situations.
