WAR ON HOCKEY THE DOCUMENTARY

IN NOVEMBER 2023, I took a trip to Ukraine and wrote a story about it that was published in Vol. 77, Issue No. 8, the 2024 Money & Power issue. It was a trip where the Ukraine Department of Defense provided me with media credentials and permission to travel throughout the country. One year later, the war on hockey in Ukraine has only gotten worse, and so has life in Ukraine for all of its citizens. In the early part of 2024, I put together a team of professionals to convert the 100-plus hours of raw video and hundreds of still pictures into a short documentary, which The Hockey News submitted to the Toronto International Film Festival for consideration.
