Based on the 2024 WJC, there’s help on the way for Buffalo

WHEN FANS OF STRUGGLING NHL teams need something to look to for hope, they often look anywhere but the present, whether that means taking a trip down memory lane to relive the glory days or a glimpse into the future to see what exciting prospects will brighten their teams’ futures. The 2024 world juniors provided an excellent opportunity for Buffalo Sabres fans to do the latter. The Sabres sent seven prospects to the WJC, tied with the Arizona Coyotes, St. Louis Blues and Seattle Kraken for most among NHL teams. And the Buffalo contingent suggested that help is just around the corner. With his 12 points, Czech center Jiri Kulich tied for the tourney scoring lead alongside Cutter Gauthier (ANA).
