THE SWEDES BOAST A deep roster, especially on defense. They lack true superstar forwards but have many talented ones to choose from, most of whom play solid two-way games. The Swedish team as a whole was tough to construct because, after the top rung of players, the nation has many NHLers who sit in the same tier. I decided to skew this group younger. My consultant: Uffe Bodin, a seasoned veteran Swedish hockey reporter who has been a THN correspondent for years. FORWARD LINE 1 > G. Landeskog (29), E. Pettersson (23), W. Nylander (25) Respected leader Landeskog will protect his skilled linemates with his heavy-hitting game.
