As some of you know, Yahoo was founded in 1994, and then, in 1997, they launched Yahoo Sports to be the go-to place for all sports coverage around the world. In 2017, Yahoo was acquired by Verizon Communications, the U.S.-based telecommunications giant. In 2021, Apollo Global Management Inc., acquired 90 percent of the assets of Verizon Communications wholly owned Verizon Media, which included Yahoo and AOL.
