ANAHEIM DUCKS THE GOOD NEWS IS the Ducks’ rebuild looks to be finally taking form, as they’re in the midst of their best season since 2018-19. The bad news is Anaheim will surely be a sub-.500 team for a seventh straight season and will be a seller at the trade deadline. In December, the Ducks acquired blueliner Jacob Trouba (and his pricey contract) from the Rangers while sending Cam Fowler to St. Louis in exchange for a draft pick and prospect defenseman Jeremie Biakabutuka. And there are more deals on the way. Brock McGinn and Robby Fabbri are pending UFA forwards, but they haven’t been particularly productive this season.
